Pre\u010do namiesto hetero-, homo-, auto-, pan- a bisexuality nehovor\u00edme jednoducho o \u201esexualite\u201c? A m\u00f4\u017ee n\u00e1s bisexualita nau\u010di\u0165 nie\u010do fundament\u00e1lne o povahe \u013eudskej erotiky?<br \/>\nMarjorie Garber1<\/p>\n<p>Term\u00edny bisexualita a homosexualita, v kritickej te\u00f3rii \u010doraz \u010dastej\u0161ie nahr\u00e1dzan\u00e9 term\u00ednom homoerotika, s\u00fa v ranom modernistickom eur\u00f3pskom kontexte anachronizmom, preto\u017ee hoci \u017eeny a mu\u017ei mali sk\u00fasenosti s homoerotick\u00fdmi praktikami, neidentifikovali sa ako bisexu\u00e1li alebo homosexu\u00e1li. Marjorie Garber, odvol\u00e1vaj\u00fac sa na pr\u00e1ce Michela Foucaulta, v knihe Vice-Versa: Bisexuality and the Eroticism of Everyday Life (Vice versa: bisexualita a erotika ka\u017edodenn\u00e9ho \u017eivota) poukazuje na to, \u017ee a\u017e do prelomu 18. a 19. storo\u010dia homoerotika bola praxou, nie identitou.2<\/p>\n<p>Michel Foucault v knihe The History of Sexuality: Volume 1, An Introduction (Hist\u00f3ria sexuality: Zv\u00e4zok 1, \u00davod) rozv\u00edja t\u00e9zu, \u017ee v d\u00f4sledku pr\u00e1vnych, psychiatrick\u00fdch a lek\u00e1rskych diskurzov v 19. storo\u010d\u00ed homosexu\u00e1l u\u017e nebol iba \u201emorfol\u00f3giou s indiskr\u00e9tnou anat\u00f3miou a potenci\u00e1lne z\u00e1hadnou fyziol\u00f3giou\u201c3, ale zrazu sa stal \u201epers\u00f3nou\u201c, a to v momente, ke\u010f bol don\u00faten\u00fd podrobi\u0165 sa psychiatrick\u00e9mu vy\u0161etreniu, ktor\u00e9 vy\u017eadovalo od psychiatra, aby pop\u00edsal osobn\u00fa hist\u00f3riu pacienta a ozna\u010dil ho diagn\u00f3zou \u201ehomosexu\u00e1l\u201c.<br \/>\nVych\u00e1dzaj\u00fac z Foucaultovej t\u00e9zy, \u017ee sexualita je diskurz\u00edvne kon\u0161truovan\u00e1 a regulovan\u00e1 re\u017eimami moci, v tejto \u00favahe si kladiem nasleduj\u00face ot\u00e1zky: Ak\u00e9 re\u017eimy moci sa podie\u013eaj\u00fa na vtl\u00e1\u010dan\u00ed bisexuality do mocensk\u00fdch diskurzov? Ako je bisexualita diskurz\u00edvne kon\u0161truovan\u00e1 v s\u00fa\u010dasn\u00fdch akademick\u00fdch a medi\u00e1lnych diskurzoch: ako identita (fluid\u00e1lna alebo zafixovan\u00e1), ako sexu\u00e1lna aktivita, alebo ako \u010dosi in\u00e9?<br \/>\nMoje \u00favahy o diskurz\u00edvnej kon\u0161trukcii bisexuality, situovan\u00e9 v kult\u00farnom kontexte Spojen\u00fdch \u0161t\u00e1tov americk\u00fdch, s\u00fa in\u0161pirovan\u00e9 pr\u00e1cami nasleduj\u00facich autoriek a autorov: Michel Foucault (1976), Eve Kosofsky Sedgwick (1990), Judith Butler (1990), Marjorie Garber (1995), Maria Pramaggiore a Donald E. Hall (1996), Kristin Esterberg (1997), Katherine Sender (1998) a Lisa Henderson (1999).4<\/p>\n<p>Diskurzy o bisexualite<\/p>\n<p>Hoci v n\u00e1bo\u017eensk\u00fdch a pr\u00e1vnych diskurzoch sa term\u00edn bisexualita nevyskytuje, implicitne sa tieto diskurzy vz\u0165ahuj\u00fa aj na bisexu\u00e1lne t\u00fa\u017eby a vz\u0165ahy, kon\u0161truuj\u00fac erotick\u00e9 t\u00fa\u017eby a sexu\u00e1lne akty medzi pr\u00edslu\u0161n\u00edkmi rovnak\u00e9ho pohlavia ako hriech, priestupok alebo zlo\u010din. Na rozdiel od n\u00e1bo\u017eensk\u00fdch a pr\u00e1vnych diskurzov, psychiatrick\u00e9, a najm\u00e4 psychoanalytick\u00e9 diskurzy explicitne rozli\u0161uj\u00fa medzi term\u00ednmi bisexualita a homosexualita. Od prelomu 18. a 19. storo\u010dia erotick\u00e9 t\u00fa\u017eby vo\u010di pr\u00edslu\u0161n\u00edkom rovnak\u00e9ho pohlavia za\u010dali by\u0165 v psychiatrick\u00fdch diskurzoch kon\u0161truovan\u00e9 ako du\u0161evn\u00e1 choroba, ozna\u010den\u00e1 diagn\u00f3zou a \u201elie\u010den\u00e1\u201c terapiou, ako aj r\u00f4znymi drastick\u00fdmi chirurgick\u00fdmi z\u00e1sahmi. V roku 1973, v d\u00f4sledku nov\u00e9ho empirick\u00e9ho v\u00fdskumu a pod vplyvom politick\u00e9ho aktivizmu gejov, lesieb a bisexu\u00e1lov a meniacich sa spolo\u010densk\u00fdch noriem, Americk\u00e1 psychiatrick\u00e1 asoci\u00e1cia vy\u010diarkla homosexualitu z Diagnostickej a \u0161tatistickej pr\u00edru\u010dky du\u0161evn\u00fdch chor\u00f4b DSM-III. Psychiatrick\u00e9 diskurzy sa v\u0161ak aj na\u010falej v\u00fdrazne podie\u013eali na diskurz\u00edvnej kon\u0161trukcii homosexuality a bisexuality. Pr\u00edkladom je diagn\u00f3za tzv. ego-dystonickej homosexuality, ktor\u00e1 bola v roku 1986 vyraden\u00e1 z DSM-III. Od sedemdesiatych rokov \u010dlenovia Americkej psychiatrickej asoci\u00e1cie pracuj\u00fa intenz\u00edvne na odstr\u00e1nen\u00ed stigmatiz\u00e1cie homosexuality a hoci niektor\u00ed psychol\u00f3govia a psychiatri aj na\u010falej vn\u00edmaj\u00fa homosexualitu negat\u00edvne, empirick\u00fd v\u00fdskum a profesion\u00e1lne normy vylu\u010duj\u00fa diagnostikovanie homosexuality a bisexuality ako psychopatol\u00f3gie.<\/p>\n<p>Bisexualita je v Spojen\u00fdch \u0161t\u00e1toch americk\u00fdch v s\u00fa\u010dasnosti \u010doraz explicitnej\u0161ie kon\u0161truovan\u00e1 aj prostredn\u00edctvom medi\u00e1lnych a akademick\u00fdch diskurzov. Vzh\u013eadom na rast\u00faci z\u00e1ujem akademickej vedy o bisexualitu a n\u00e1rast v reprezent\u00e1cii bisexuality v m\u00e9di\u00e1ch je opodstatnen\u00e9 sa domnieva\u0165, \u017ee akademick\u00e1 veda a m\u00e9di\u00e1 zohr\u00e1vaj\u00fa \u010doraz v\u00fdznamnej\u0161iu \u00falohu v diskurz\u00edvnej kon\u0161trukcii bisexuality. St\u00fapaj\u00faci po\u010det vedeck\u00fdch publik\u00e1ci\u00ed o bisexualite, vydan\u00fdch v Spojen\u00fdch \u0161t\u00e1toch americk\u00fdch v 90. rokoch, a z\u00e1rove\u0148 rast\u00facu vidite\u013enos\u0165 reprezent\u00e1cie bisexuality v m\u00e9di\u00e1ch v tom istom obdob\u00ed v\u0161ak pod\u013ea m\u00f4jho n\u00e1zoru treba ch\u00e1pa\u0165 vo vz\u0165ahu k politick\u00e9mu hnutiu za pr\u00e1va sexu\u00e1lnych men\u0161\u00edn, ktor\u00e9 iniciovalo zmeny v americkej spolo\u010dnosti u\u017e pred viac ako tridsiatimi rokmi. Vz\u0165ah medzi aktivistickou praxou a medi\u00e1lnymi a akademick\u00fdmi diskurzmi je predmetom mojich nasleduj\u00facich \u00favah o diskurz\u00edvnej kon\u0161trukcii bisexuality.<\/p>\n<p>Bisexualita v kontexte politick\u00e9ho hnutia za pr\u00e1va sexu\u00e1lnych men\u0161\u00edn<\/p>\n<p>Verejn\u00e1 prezent\u00e1cia bisexu\u00e1lnych ident\u00edt v Spojen\u00fdch \u0161t\u00e1toch americk\u00fdch sa za\u010dala okolo roku 1920, v obdob\u00ed tzv. Harlem Renaissance, ke\u010f sa Harlem stal centrom afroamerick\u00e9ho avantgardn\u00e9ho umenia, d\u017eezu a gejskej subkult\u00fary vych\u00e1dzaj\u00facej z hnutia New Negro (New Negro Movement). Preva\u017en\u00fa v\u00e4\u010d\u0161inu harlemskej revitaliza\u010dnej subkult\u00fary tvorili \u017eeny a mu\u017ei z radov afroamerickej intelektu\u00e1lnej a umeleckej avantgardy ako napr\u00edklad Zora Neale Hurston, Bessie Smith, Josephine Baker, Langston Hughes, Wallace Thurman a Aaron Douglas. Eric Garber (1990)5 poukazuje na to, \u017ee bary a in\u00e9 verejn\u00e9 priestory v Harleme (speakeasies, buffet flats, rent parties, costume balls) sa stali vyh\u013ead\u00e1van\u00fdm a niektor\u00e9 aj etnicky\/rasovo integrovan\u00fdm prostred\u00edm na homoerotick\u00fa interakciu medzi mu\u017emi a \u017eenami z r\u00f4znych spolo\u010densk\u00fdch vrstiev, vytv\u00e1raj\u00fac tak jednu z prv\u00fdch pr\u00edle\u017eitost\u00ed na artikulovanie objavuj\u00faceho sa povedomia sexu\u00e1lnych men\u0161\u00edn. Ekonomick\u00e1 kr\u00edza v roku 1929 n\u00e1hle ukon\u010dila harlemsk\u00fa revitaliz\u00e1ciu, a hoci v 30. a 40. rokoch afroamerick\u00e1 subkult\u00fara sexu\u00e1lnych men\u0161\u00edn existovala v Harleme aj na\u010falej, stala sa ove\u013ea menej vidite\u013enou a rasovo homog\u00e9nnou subkult\u00farou.<\/p>\n<p>Spolo\u010densk\u00e9 zmeny v USA po\u010das druhej svetovej vojny priniesli nielen nov\u00e9 pr\u00edle\u017eitosti pre homoerotick\u00e9 vz\u0165ahy a identifik\u00e1ciu, ale aj nov\u00e9 formy stigmatiz\u00e1cie, antihomosexu\u00e1lne nariadenia a postihy homoerotick\u00fdch t\u00fa\u017eob a vz\u0165ahov v arm\u00e1de aj v civilnom \u017eivote. Allan B\u00e9rub\u00e9 (1990)6 opisuje met\u00f3dy povinn\u00fdch psychologick\u00fdch vy\u0161etren\u00ed, ktor\u00fdch cie\u013eom bolo identifikova\u0165 homoerotick\u00e9 sklony mu\u017eov a \u017eien zauj\u00edmaj\u00facich sa o pr\u00e1cu v arm\u00e1de. K\u00fdm za\u010diatkom 40. rokov sa homosexualite v arm\u00e1de nevenovalo ve\u013ea pozornosti a tis\u00edce gejov a lesieb vst\u00fapilo bez probl\u00e9mov do arm\u00e1dy, v polovici 40. rokov arm\u00e1da rozp\u00fatala feder\u00e1lnu antihomosexu\u00e1lnu kampa\u0148. Za\u010diatok a koniec vojny priniesol zmeny aj v spolo\u010denskom akceptovan\u00ed lesbick\u00fdch vz\u0165ahov v civilnom \u017eivote \u2013 masov\u00e9 za\u010dlenenie \u017eien do priemyselnej v\u00fdroby po\u010das vojny umo\u017enilo odrazu mili\u00f3nom americk\u00fdch \u017eien \u00fanik od patriarch\u00e1lnych a heteronormat\u00edvnych vz\u0165ahov v rodin\u00e1ch. \u017deny mali odrazu nielen pr\u00edle\u017eitos\u0165 vykon\u00e1va\u0165 dovtedy typicky mu\u017esk\u00e9 profesie, z\u00edska\u0165 finan\u010dn\u00fa nez\u00e1vislos\u0165, ale aj pr\u00edle\u017eitos\u0165 \u017ei\u0165 v homosoci\u00e1lnom prostred\u00ed, ktor\u00e9 umo\u017enilo mnoh\u00fdm \u017een\u00e1m prejavi\u0165 svoje homoerotick\u00e9 t\u00fa\u017eby. V povojnovom obdob\u00ed, ke\u010f sa spolo\u010dnos\u0165 za\u010dala usilova\u0165 o znovuobnovenie heteronormat\u00edvneho statusu quo prostredn\u00edctvom masov\u00e9ho prep\u00fa\u0161\u0165ania \u017eien zo zamestnania, od\u00f4vodnen\u00e9ho tvrden\u00edm, \u017ee starostlivos\u0165 o deti a man\u017eela je prim\u00e1rnym poslan\u00edm ka\u017edej \u017eeny, bary a kaviarne vo ve\u013ek\u00fdch urb\u00e1nnych centr\u00e1ch v USA boli takmer jedin\u00fdm verejn\u00fdm (hoci ani z\u010faleka nie bezpe\u010dn\u00fdm) prostred\u00edm pre nadv\u00e4zovanie homoerotick\u00fdch vz\u0165ahov a afirm\u00e1ciu homoerotick\u00fdch t\u00fa\u017eob a ident\u00edt. Za\u010diatkom 50. rokov, po vyraden\u00ed tis\u00edcov gejov a lesieb z arm\u00e1dy, FBI spustila civiln\u00fa antihomosexu\u00e1lnu kampa\u0148 proti rast\u00facej gejskej popul\u00e1cii vo ve\u013ek\u00fdch mest\u00e1ch, zatv\u00e1raj\u00fac gejsk\u00e9 bary a spisuj\u00fac zoznamy homosexu\u00e1lov a \u013eud\u00ed st\u00fdkaj\u00facich sa s homosexu\u00e1lmi. Mnoh\u00ed vojnov\u00ed veter\u00e1ni, ktor\u00ed boli vyraden\u00ed z arm\u00e1dy v d\u00f4sledku homosexu\u00e1lnej orient\u00e1cie, vytvorili dve organiz\u00e1cie: gejsk\u00fa organiz\u00e1ciu Mattachine Society, zalo\u017een\u00fa roku 1950 v Los Angeles, a lesbick\u00fa organiz\u00e1ciu Daughters of Bilitis, zalo\u017een\u00fa roku 1955 v San Franciscu, ktor\u00e9 predstavuj\u00fa za\u010diatky politick\u00e9ho organizovania sexu\u00e1lnych men\u0161\u00edn v USA.<br \/>\nV 40. a 50. rokoch prostredie barov v San Franciscu, New York City a in\u00fdch urb\u00e1nnych centr\u00e1ch na z\u00e1padnom aj v\u00fdchodnom pobre\u017e\u00ed USA pon\u00fakalo lesb\u00e1m a gejom pr\u00edle\u017eitos\u0165 nielen na interakciu, ale aj na konfront\u00e1ciu s hostilitou a homof\u00f3biou. Madeline Davis a Elizabeth Kennedy v knihe Boots of Leather, Slippers of Gold (\u010ci\u017emy z ko\u017ee, papu\u010de zo zlata) pribli\u017euj\u00fa atmosf\u00e9ru barov, kde sa stret\u00e1vali \u017eeny z formuj\u00facej sa lesbickej komunity v Buffalo, v \u0161t\u00e1te New York, ktor\u00e9 prostredn\u00edctvom oble\u010denia, manierizmu a celkov\u00e9ho vzh\u013eadu prispievali k zvidite\u013e\u0148ovaniu lesbickej identity a subkult\u00fary na verejnosti. John D\u2019Emilio7 poukazuje na to, \u017ee hoci Kalifornia bola v povojnovom obdob\u00ed jedin\u00fdm \u0161t\u00e1tom, ktor\u00fd zaru\u010doval pr\u00e1vo homosexu\u00e1lov zdru\u017eova\u0165 sa v baroch a in\u00fdch verejn\u00fdch priestoroch (San Francisco malo koncom 50. rokov viac ako tridsa\u0165 gejsk\u00fdch barov), pol\u00edcia si v\u017edy na\u0161la nov\u00e9 d\u00f4vody na prehliadky t\u00fdchto barov. Vzh\u013eadom na pokra\u010duj\u00facu homof\u00f3biu, podporovan\u00fa in\u0161tit\u00faciami heteronormat\u00edvnej spolo\u010dnosti, objavuj\u00face sa homofiln\u00e9 hnutie (Homophile Movement), ktor\u00e9 sa v tom \u010dase strategicky di\u0161tancovalo od barovej gejskej subkult\u00fary v San Franciscu, bolo v 50. rokoch takmer nevidite\u013en\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Koncom 60. a za\u010diatkom 70. rokov, v kontexte spolo\u010densk\u00fdch zmien iniciovan\u00fdch hnut\u00edm za ob\u010dianske pr\u00e1va a proti rasovej diskrimin\u00e1cii, ako aj protivojnov\u00fdm, pacifistick\u00fdm, \u0161tudentsk\u00fdm a \u017eensk\u00fdm hnut\u00edm a v atmosf\u00e9re objavuj\u00facej sa \u201esexu\u00e1lnej revol\u00facie\u201c sa rozrastaj\u00faca subkult\u00fara sexu\u00e1lnych men\u0161\u00edn v USA za\u010d\u00edna zvidite\u013e\u0148ova\u0165, a to z\u00e1sluhou gejov, lesieb, bisexu\u00e1lov, bisexu\u00e1lok a transvestitov (drag queens), ktor\u00ed a ktor\u00e9 sa za\u010dali otvorene politicky anga\u017eova\u0165. Hoci v San Franciscu sa aktivistick\u00e1 interakcia medzi barovou gejskou subkult\u00farou a homofiln\u00fdm hnut\u00edm za\u010dala u\u017e v polovici 60. rokov a priniesla prv\u00e9 politick\u00e9 v\u00ed\u0165azstv\u00e1 sexu\u00e1lnych men\u0161\u00edn v Kalifornii, za za\u010diatok gejsk\u00e9ho aktivizmu v USA sa vo v\u0161eobecnosti pova\u017euj\u00fa protestn\u00e9 demon\u0161tr\u00e1cie gejskej komunity v New York City, vyvolan\u00e9 policajnou raziou v Stonewall Inn v j\u00fani 1969.<\/p>\n<p>Na za\u010diatku 70. rokov patrili mnoh\u00ed bisexu\u00e1li do heterosexu\u00e1lnych \u201eswinger\u201c komun\u00edt, ale mnoh\u00ed sa politicky identifikovali s rozrastaj\u00facim sa hnut\u00edm gejov a lesieb (Gay and Lesbian Liberation Movement). Bez oh\u013eadu na afili\u00e1ciu, bisexu\u00e1lni aktivisti obhajuj\u00fa sexu\u00e1lnu slobodu \u2013 pr\u00e1vo na sexu\u00e1lne vz\u0165ahy s pr\u00edslu\u0161n\u00edkmi oboch pohlav\u00ed. V roku 1972 bola v New Yorku zalo\u017een\u00e1 prv\u00e1 bisexu\u00e1lna organiz\u00e1cia, The National Bisexual Liberation Group, po ktorej nasledovali v roku 1976 n\u00e1rodn\u00e9 centrum bisexu\u00e1lov v San Franciscu \u2013 The National Bisexual Center, a organiz\u00e1cia BiWays, zalo\u017een\u00e1 v Chicagu v roku 1978. V 80. rokoch sa v USA za\u010dali objavova\u0165 nov\u00e9 bisexu\u00e1lne organiz\u00e1cie zalo\u017een\u00e9 z iniciat\u00edvy \u017eien, ako napr\u00edklad The Boston Bisexual Women\u2019s Network, zalo\u017een\u00e1 v roku 1983, a o tri roky nesk\u00f4r The Seattle Bisexual Women\u2019s Network. V roku 1987 sa bisexu\u00e1lne aktivistky a aktivisti po prv\u00fdkr\u00e1t pridali ako organizovan\u00e1 skupina k washingtonsk\u00e9mu pochodu za pr\u00e1va gejov a lesieb March on Washington for Gay and Lesbian Rights, ktor\u00fd sa nesk\u00f4r z iniciat\u00edvy o vytvorenie politickej aliancie a pr\u00edslu\u0161n\u00ed\u010dok r\u00f4znych sexu\u00e1lnych men\u0161\u00edn premenoval v roku 1993 na National March on Washington for Gay, Lesbian and Bi Rights.<\/p>\n<p>Od za\u010diatku 90. rokov za\u010dali aktivistky a aktivisti z radov r\u00f4znych sexu\u00e1lnych men\u0161\u00edn v USA zaklada\u0165 zastre\u0161ovacie organiz\u00e1cie, GLBT (gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender) a queer aliancie, pou\u017e\u00edvaj\u00fac sebazvidite\u013e\u0148ovanie a par\u00f3diu8 ako strat\u00e9giu individu\u00e1lnej a kolekt\u00edvnej rezistencie vo\u010di homof\u00f3bii a diskrimin\u00e1cii sexu\u00e1lnych men\u0161\u00edn. V\u010faka viac ako tridsa\u0165ro\u010dn\u00e9mu \u00fasiliu aktivistov, do\u017eaduj\u00facich sa pr\u00e1v sexu\u00e1lnych men\u0161\u00edn na \u0161t\u00e1tnej a feder\u00e1lnej \u00farovni, niektor\u00e9 \u0161t\u00e1ty v USA v s\u00fa\u010dasnosti povo\u013euj\u00fa registrovan\u00e9 partnerstvo a adopciu det\u00ed partnermi rovnak\u00e9ho pohlavia.9 No aj napriek tomu, \u017ee GLBT aktivisti a aktivistky relat\u00edvne \u00faspe\u0161ne nar\u00fa\u0161aj\u00fa heteronormat\u00edvny status quo, pretrv\u00e1vaj\u00faca homof\u00f3bia, prejavuj\u00faca sa vo forme predsudkov, verb\u00e1lneho, ale aj fyzick\u00e9ho n\u00e1silia10, ako aj in\u0161titucionalizovanej diskrimin\u00e1cie sexu\u00e1lnych men\u0161\u00edn je d\u00f4vodom na pokra\u010dovanie v queer aktivizme.<\/p>\n<p>Diskurz\u00edvna kon\u0161trukcia bisexuality v m\u00e9di\u00e1ch<\/p>\n<p>Tak ako v ka\u017edej heteronormat\u00edvnej11 spolo\u010dnosti, aj v USA sa dominantn\u00e9 medi\u00e1lne diskurzy podie\u013eaj\u00fa na udr\u017eiavan\u00ed heteronormat\u00edvneho statusu quo. Pod\u013ea Kinseyho mo\u017eno sexu\u00e1lnu orient\u00e1ciu ch\u00e1pa\u0165 ako kontinuum od 0 po 6, kde 0 zodpoved\u00e1 v\u00fdhradne heterosexu\u00e1lnej orient\u00e1cii a 6 v\u00fdhradne homosexu\u00e1lnej orient\u00e1cii, s r\u00f4znymi mo\u017en\u00fdmi vari\u00e1ciami uprostred, ktor\u00e9 premos\u0165uj\u00fa oba p\u00f3ly. Kinsey bol tak prv\u00fd, kto spochybnil kon\u0161trukt statickej bin\u00e1rnej opoz\u00edcie heterosexuality a homosexuality.<\/p>\n<p>Fritz Klein, in\u0161pirovan\u00fd Kinseym, prispel k v\u00fdskumu sexuality v 80. rokoch tzv. Hoci Kinsey a Klein vo svojich v\u00fdskumoch nikdy nepou\u017eili term\u00edn bisexualita, \u0161tandardn\u00e1 interpret\u00e1cia ich teoretick\u00fdch n\u00e1h\u013eadov na sexualitu je tak\u00e1, \u017ee bisexu\u00e1lna orient\u00e1cia sa nach\u00e1dza medzi dvoma p\u00f3lmi kontinua, uprostred hetero- a homosexu\u00e1lnej orient\u00e1cie a identifik\u00e1cie.<\/p>\n<p>Podobne ako mnoh\u00ed in\u00ed autori a autorky, vych\u00e1dzaj\u00face z postmodernistick\u00e9ho ch\u00e1pania sexuality, Marjorie Garber problematizuje koncepty sexu\u00e1lnej orient\u00e1cie a fixnej identity a tvrd\u00ed: \u201eAk bisexualita nie je iba \u010fal\u0161ou sexu\u00e1lnou orient\u00e1ciou (a ja si mysl\u00edm, \u017ee nie je), ale je sexualitou, ktor\u00e1 neguje sexu\u00e1lnu orient\u00e1ciu ako kateg\u00f3riu, sexualitou, ktor\u00e1 ohrozuje a spochyb\u0148uje jednoduch\u00e9 bin\u00e1rne opoz\u00edcie homosexu\u00e1l \u2013 heterosexu\u00e1l, \u201aqueer\u2018 a \u201ahet\u2018, a ich biologick\u00e9 a fyziologick\u00e9 v\u00fdznamy, ako aj rodov\u00e9 kateg\u00f3rie mu\u017e a \u017eena, potom p\u00e1tranie po v\u00fdzname slova bisexu\u00e1l pon\u00faka in\u00e9 v\u00fdsledky. Namiesto pomen\u00favania nevidite\u013enej, nepov\u0161imnutej men\u0161iny, ktor\u00e1 si teraz h\u013ead\u00e1 miesto pod slnkom, bisexu\u00e1l, resp. bisexu\u00e1lka sa nach\u00e1dza, tak ako je to pre bisexu\u00e1lov a bisexu\u00e1lky pr\u00edzna\u010dn\u00e9, v\u0161ade a nikde. Stru\u010dne, na [bisexualitu] sa nevz\u0165ahuje \u017eiadne \u201anaozaj\u2018. Ot\u00e1zka, \u010di niekto je \u201anaozaj\u2018 heterosexu\u00e1l alebo gej, nazna\u010duje nepochopenie sexuality, ktor\u00e1 je fluid\u00e1lna, a nie zafixovan\u00e1; je to pr\u00edbeh, ktor\u00fd sa \u010dasom men\u00ed, na rozdiel od konceptu fixnej identity, akoko\u013evek zlo\u017eitej. Erotick\u00e9 objavenie bisexuality je faktom, ktor\u00fd odha\u013euje, \u017ee sexualita je procesom rastu, transform\u00e1cie a prekvapenia, nie stabiln\u00e9ho a poznate\u013en\u00e9ho stavu bytia.\u201c (Garber 1995, s. 65-66.)<\/p>\n<p>V tomto cit\u00e1te Garber jasne odmieta teoretick\u00e9 ch\u00e1panie sexu\u00e1lnej identity v zmysle bin\u00e1rnych opoz\u00edci\u00ed v prospech ch\u00e1pania sexu\u00e1lnej identity ako fluid\u00e1lnej, nezafixovanej a potenci\u00e1lne sa meniacej.
